Statement to Spreadsheet How it stays private

Turn a TD Bank statement PDF into a spreadsheet.

Drop in a TD Bank statement and get every transaction as a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. It runs in your browser, so your statement is never uploaded.

Getting your TD Bank statements as PDFs

  1. Sign in to TD Bank online banking at td.com.
  2. Open the account and find its statements.
  3. Pick the statement period and download the PDF.

Why not just export a CSV from TD Bank?

TD Bank's activity download covers recent transactions, not the whole statement archive, and how far back it goes varies. Anything older is only available as a PDF statement, which is what this site converts.

Good to know

Statement to Spreadsheet is not affiliated with TD Bank. Banks change their menus and limits, so check the details in your own online banking.

How it works

  1. Choose your statement

A PDF downloaded from your bank's website, or a scan of a paper statement.

  2. Check the tally

The opening balance plus every transaction should equal the closing balance. If it does, nothing was missed or misread.

  3. Download the CSV

One row per transaction: date, description, amount and balance. Money out is negative.

Questions

Is my statement uploaded anywhere?

No. This site reads the PDF on your own computer, inside this browser tab, and never sends it to a server. Once the page has loaded, statements convert even with your internet switched off. The site counts visits with Cloudflare's cookieless analytics, which records page views, never what's in your statement.

Why not just download a CSV from my bank?

Banks only export recent activity as CSV, usually somewhere between 90 days and two years. Anything older exists only as a PDF statement, which is what tax returns, loan applications and bookkeeping catch-up usually need.

Does it read scanned statements?

Yes. Scans are read with text recognition, which downloads once (about 14 MB) and takes a few seconds per page. Recognition can misread a figure, so check the tally before you rely on the numbers.

Which banks does it work with?

Statements that list transactions in a table with dates and amounts, which covers most checking and savings statements. If a statement's layout isn't read correctly, the tally won't balance and you'll see by how much.
